Wantan Noodles – Kedai Koon Kee @ Petaling Street

Once very famous for its Wantan Noodles, Koon Kee is now pretty quiet and isolated. Koon Kee is well-known for its Wantan Noodles. Located in the midst of Petaling Street (Chinatown), Koon Kee is not exactly easy to find. It is hidden behind the throng of stalls in one of the intersections of Petaling Street.

Although it’s slightly pricey, the Wantan Noodles has generous fillings and has very little MSG, unlike the wantan noodles elsewhere. For RM 5.30, it can easily fill your empty stomach and make you feel bloated. You can always order the smaller plate for RM 4.30, but mind you, the fillings are not as generous as you get by paying the extra one buck.

The Har Kow (Prawn Dumplings) is quite filling as well and is delicious though there are better ones somewhere out there.

Perhaps, Koon Kee has lost its glory day and for now, it is more suitable to be labeled as a tourist attraction rather than an eatery for the local.
