Spaghetti and Chicken Chop with Black Pepper Sauce is quite good. The spaghetti is slightly thinner, just like those you get in Kim Gary while the chicken chop is quite tender and the sauce is delicious. All this for only RM 9.90, it’s quite worth it.

Spaghetti and Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce is equally delightful. Be warned though, the meal can be a little heavy for lunch and you may fall doze off on your office desk.

Brickfield’s Claypot Chicken Rice

Sadly though, despite the popularity of the Claypot Chicken Rice in Brickfields, the verdict is the rice are quite soaky and not cooked properly while the others — the chicken, the sour fish and the rest are quite mediocre. The "Big" Claypot Chicken Rice is sufficient enough for four person, or two person if you are a big eater.

Certainly, not one of the best claypot chicken rice. If you are looking for claypot, I would strongly suggest B Sentral’s Hot Claypot Briyani Rice even though they are a different thing altogether.

Uncle Lim’s Fried Kuey Teow is quite delicious. The ingredients are generous while the kuey teow are fried to perfection. In some places, you’ll see the kuey teow ends up either burnt or uncooked, but the char kuey teow here doesn’t only look good but taste good as well. Definitely top my list for Fried Kuey Teow in Kuala Lumpur, if not the whole Malaysia.

Dry Pork Noodles from Peter’s Pork Noodle is one of the best sellers but after waiting for 15 minutes (because of the orders), I am quite disappointed that the pork noodle is just mediocre. It is still nowhere close to Yit Sieang’s Pork Noodles.

Dry Pork Noodles in Restoran Yit Sieang is one of the most tasty pork noodles, at least, in KL. It is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner (even though the restaurant is not opened for dinner).

Restoran Sin Kee’s Curry Pork Ribs Rice

The Curry Pork Ribs Rice is heavenly — the pork is so succulent and the curry is even better than those you eat in the prison. If you are a late comer during lunch hour, you’ll feel sorry for not coming earlier as it is easily snapped up by the hungry working people. And yes, just like many of its other ala carte meals, Curry Pork Ribs Rice have limited orders each day.

Restoran Sin Kee’s Fried Rice

The Fried Rice is just as good as most items available on the menu. Fried Rice comes with Chinese sausage (Lup Cheong), bits of Luncheon Pork meat, eggs, onions and prawns. I’ll have to say this is one of the best Chinese Fried Rice I have ever eaten.

Restoran Sin Kee also has tonnes of other items on its extensive menu and it’s a no wonder that it is usually fully-packed during lunch hour.

Restoran Telok Pulai Bah Kut Teh’s Bah Kut Teh

In bah kut teh restaurants, the bah kut teh is usually served in claypot unless it is the dry version.

Restoran Telok Pulai serves Klang’s famous bah kut teh like the other bah kut teh’s restaurants in Klang. The only difference in this place is that it is quite pricey. RM 22.50 for two person and we didn’t even order any Chinese tea.

Overall, it is not the best place in town to try out for bah kut teh, unless the other bah kut teh restaurants in Klang are all closed and you’re from other towns and are desperate to try out Klang’s original bah kut teh.

Kim Gary Restaurant’s Fried Pork Chop with Shanghai Style Vegetable Rice served with Shanghai Style Soya Sauce is quite hearty and is one of the few dishes that is not oily. The fried pork chop is succulent and it is surprisingly satisfying.

Kim Gary’s Hot and Spicy Noodles with Pork Chop in "Typhoon Shelter" Style

Hot and Spicy Noodles with Pork Chop in "Typhoon Shelter" Style is served in a huge bowl like in most Japanese restaurants. However, the noodles portion is extremely small compared to the bean sprouts, which occupied half the bowl. The curry is indeed spicy but there’s really nothing special about this.

Kim Gary’s Coffee in Hong Kong Style (Cold)

Coffee in Hong Kong Style (Cold) is quite mediocre compared to the coffee joints. Even though it’s only RM 2.80, I would prefer Oldtown White Coffee anytime. Furthermore, OLDTOWN White Coffee is only RM 3.20.

The Herbal Chicken is quite succulent and yet pleasant to eat.

Hakka Restaurant’s Assam Fish

Assam Fish is delectable — not too sour, not too spicy, just the right taste.

Hakka Restaurant’s Tofu

The Tofu is however quite bland and ordinary.

Hakka Restaurant’s Sweet & Sour Pork

The Sweet & Sour Pork is crispy and quite juicy.

Hakka Restaurant’s Vegetable

The Vegetable is surprisingly not too salty despite the existence of the salted duck egg.

Hakka Restaurant’s Dessert

Lastly, the Dessert which consists of mangoes, watermelon and honey dew is fresh and juicy.

Even though the food in Hakka Restaurant is top-rated, somehow it’s still overrated and too pricey. Perhaps, Hakka Restaurant is more suitable for weddings and dinner functions. Otherwise, there are many other Chinese restaurants that are better in every sense.

Dry Spicy Pan Mee is a spicy bowl of noodles which is also known as "Ma Lat" Pan Mee and it’s quite popular among the restaurant patrons. Like all dry noodles, it comes with a bowl of fish balls.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Soup Curry Chicken Pan Mee

Soup Curry Chicken Pan Mee is also a favorite among the crowds. The amount of Curry Chicken is generous and it’s surely satiates.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Dry Curry Chicken Pan Mee

Dry Curry Chicken Pan Mee is, however, slightly disappointing. It tastes almost like the curry noodles in Chatter Kopitiam.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Soup Pan Mee

Soup Pan Mee is also so-so. Perhaps the quality of Restoran S.S.L Noodles has dropped even since it moves into this new shop lot.

Patrons can choose the type of noodles of their choice, be it pan mee, noodles, kuey teow, etc., not all type of noodles match with all type of dish in the menu.
