Recently, Meals Station has added several new items on its menu.

Meals Station’s Assam Laksa
Assam Laksa is one of the new items in Meals Station. The Assam Laksa in Meals Station is satisfying even though at RM 7.90, it seems a little too pricy.

Meals Station’s Mee Rebus
Mee Rebus, meanwhile, is not bad but definitely not among the best items on the menu. If you love noodles, I would still recommend Meals Station’s Curry Chicken Noodles.

Meals Station’s Orange Juice
Fresh Orange Juice surely quenches the thirst on a hot afternoon, but I think this juice needs more ice cubes.
Price
- Assam Laksa - RM 7.90
- Mee Rebus - RM 6.90
- Fresh Fruit Juice, Orange - RM 3.50

Besides luncheon, Meals Station is a good place for a cup of tea, be it morning or afternoon.

Meals Station’s French Toast
French Toast in Meals Station is crispy and appetizing even though not good enough to satisfy one’s hunger.

Meals Station’s Black Currant White Coffee
A great toast should always come with a cup of coffee and Black Currant White Coffee is perfect as it was reviewed previously.
Price
- French Toast - RM 3.80
- Black Currant White Coffee (Iced) - RM 3.80

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng has a variety of delicious food and this is the fourth time I’m writing about Wong Kok Char Chan Teng @ Pavilion KL and there is a good reason for this.

HK ‘Dry Style’ Hand Made Noodles with Honey Chicken
HK ‘Dry Style’ Hand Made Noodles with Honey Chicken as the name says is hand made noodles which looks a lot like the Fried H.K. Stred Noodles I reviewed earlier except it’s a lot thicker. The honey chicken is sweet and its juicy honey flavor makes the noodles not so "dry". If you’re a noodle lover, you’ll definitely love this one.

Honeydew Blueberry Float
Honeydew Blueberry Float is sweet and since both honeydew and blueberry lean more towards the sweet taste, this drink is surely one of the sweetest ever mixed of drinks. With a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, this drink is heavenly delicious.
Price
- HK ‘Dry Style’ Hand Made Noodle with Honey Chicken - RM 8.90
- Honeydew Blueberry Float - RM 7.50

3JC is a different type of kopitiam — it’s popular for its meatball. With five branches all over the Klang Valley, we happened to drop by its Plaza Low Yat’s branch.

3JC in Soup, Kuey Teow
3JC in Soup, Kuey Teow is delicious with the right flavor and the meatballs are simply tantalizing.

3JC in Curry, Kuey Teow
3JC in Curry, Kuey Teow is also satisfying, every part of it. Like 3JC in Soup and its other dishes, 3JC holds on to its five fundamental factors which include Freshness, Feeling, Taste, Nutritious and Presentation. If you look at the pictures, you will know what I mean.

3JC’s Coffee (Cold) and Ice Honey Lemon Tea
The drinks are quite alright, especially the Ice Honey Lemon Tea, which is full of flavor and thirst-quenching as well.
Price
- 3JC in Soup, Kuey Teow - RM 6.90
- 3JC in Curry, Kuey Teow - RM 8.80

Madam Wong Cafe serves the same food as Station Kopitiam and both have almost similar taste.

Madam Wong’s Buttermilk Sauce Chicken with Rice
Buttermilk Sauce Chicken with Rice is a delightful, at least, it’s better than the Crispy Buttermilk Granules Chicken with Rice.

Madam Wong’s Kung Po Chicken with Rice
Kung Po Chicken with Rice is not too bad either.

Madam Wong’s Honey Lemonade Ice and Lime Plum Juice
Both the drinks, Honey Lemonade Ice and Lime Plum Juice are so-so only.

Toast Box is a kopitiam comparable to the likes of Daily Express, Hometown Kopitiam and Kluang Station. After the success of Toast Box in Mid Valley, which is owned by BreadTalk, a Singapore-based bakery, Toast Box branches out in Pavilion KL as well.

Toast Box @ Pavilion KL
Toast Box @ Pavilion KL looks better than the one in Mid Valley Megamall but it’s located within the crowded food court, Food Republic.

Toast Box’s Mee Siam Soup
Mee Siam Soup is quite up to the par except of course, it’s in soup. Despite that, it still tastes better than Kluang Station’s Mee Siam.

Toast Box’s Lonton
Meanwhile, Lonton is slightly below the average expected standard with nothing to shout about.

Toast Box’s Coffee (Cold)
Price
- Mee Siam Soup - RM 6.50
- Lonton - RM 6.50
- Kopi (Cold) - RM 2.80

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng @ Pavilion KL has introduced set lunches at only RM9.90 to lure the working crowds and at RM9.90, lunch hour during working days are usually packed with working adults.

Friday set lunch comes with Milk tea, soup and dessert

Spaghetti with Ham is one of the options for Friday set lunch
Spaghetti with Ham is mediocre in taste but for only RM 9.90, you can’t be complaining, can you? Furthermore, it comes with soup (white or red), dessert (usually fruits) and a glass of Milk tea (hot or cold).

Daily Express is a kopitiam in Pavilion KL and Suria KLCC, not to be confused with the popular British tabloid newspaper.
For lunch, Daily Express offers lunch sets to compete with restaurants but it’s a bit pricey for the working crowds. Although it’s specialty is coffee, the food serves here is almost like Kluang Station and Hometown Kopitiam.

Daily Express’ Curry Mee
The Curry Mee is one of the favorites though I find it quite mediocre and is not worth the price. The only thing worth is the more peaceful and quiet ambiance when Food Republic is full of working crowds during lunch hour.

Daily Express’ Toast Hainan
Toast Hainan, is however quite fresh and just lovely despite the oiliness of the butter.

Daily Express’ Coffee (Cold)
The coffee is so-so for the price, I would say, still it’s cheaper than Starbucks.

Daily Express’ Honey Lemon (Cold)
Meanwhile, Honey Lemon (Cold) is refreshing and thirst-quenching.
Price
- Lunch Set Curry Mee + Coffee (Cold) - RM 11.30
- Toast Hainan - RM 2.40
- Honey Lemon (Cold) - RM 3.60

Tags: iced coffee, Kluang Station, kopitiam, local food, mee siam, nasi lemak
Kluang Station is not exactly just another kopitiam as its interior design concept is based on old-school train station despite serving the same food like Uncle Lim, Hometown Kopitiam and the likes.

Kluang Station’s Mee Siam
Kluang Station’s Mee Siam does not really taste like Mee Siam. Maybe because it’s not spicy enough or perhaps the chili used is not the right type — or perhaps it’s the sambal which is more towards the sweet side.

Kluang Station’s Nasi Lemak
The nasi lemak in Kluang Station is not too bad. The sambal is the same one used in the Mee Siam, which is sweet and not spicy. The anchovies and peanuts are aplenty.

Kluang Station’s Kopi Cold
One must try the Kopi Cold which is the traditional kopitiam-style coffee — even for the cold version, one can taste the real coffee in it.
Kluang Station in One Utama is located in the Lower Ground Floor in the New Wing.

Madam Wong Cafe may have a similar name like Madam Kwan but don’t get the wrong impression, Madam Wong serves the type of food similar to Kim Gary and Wong Kok instead. Located in the 2nd floor (corner) of Sungai Wang Plaza, this place won’t be hard to find.

Madam Wong’s Set Meal 12
Madam Wong’s Set Meal 12 consists of Lotus Pork Slice with Egg Fried Rice, a glass of Ice Lemon Tea and Dessert as well. Quite worth the price.

Madam Wong’s Crispy Buttermilk Granules Chicken with Rice
Crispy Buttermilk Granules Chicken with Rice may look good in the picture but it really lacks the buttermilk. Otherwise, not too bad.
The Malaysian Kopi (Cold) is not too bad either, considering the price.
The place is usually full with every table almost occupied, however, it is less noisy compared to Kim Gary Restaurants.
Price
- Set Meal 12 - RM 11.90
