Kim Gary Restaurant is one of the few restaurants besides Oldtown White Coffee that is usually packed with patrons in AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre.

Kim Gary’s Fried Pork Chop with Shanghai Style Vegetable Rice
Kim Gary Restaurant’s Fried Pork Chop with Shanghai Style Vegetable Rice served with Shanghai Style Soya Sauce is quite hearty and is one of the few dishes that is not oily. The fried pork chop is succulent and it is surprisingly satisfying.

Kim Gary’s Hot and Spicy Noodles with Pork Chop in "Typhoon Shelter" Style
Hot and Spicy Noodles with Pork Chop in "Typhoon Shelter" Style is served in a huge bowl like in most Japanese restaurants. However, the noodles portion is extremely small compared to the bean sprouts, which occupied half the bowl. The curry is indeed spicy but there’s really nothing special about this.

Kim Gary’s Coffee in Hong Kong Style (Cold)
Coffee in Hong Kong Style (Cold) is quite mediocre compared to the coffee joints. Even though it’s only RM 2.80, I would prefer Oldtown White Coffee anytime. Furthermore, OLDTOWN White Coffee is only RM 3.20.

Kim Gary’s Coffee in Hong Kong Style (Hot)
The same applies to Coffee in Hong Kong Style (Hot).
Price
- Fried Pork Chop with Shanghai Style Vegetable Rice served with Shanghai Style Soya Sauce – RM 9.90
- Hot and Spicy Noodles with Pork Chop in "Typhoon Shelter" Style – RM 12.90
- Coffee in Hong Kong Style (Cold) – RM 2.80

Chatterbox hk in Bangsar Village I in Bangsar Baru is yet another HK "char chan teng" and has been established since Bangsar Village I was opened way back in 2005. Like other "char chan teng" which serves Hong Kong food, Chatterbox also serves Cheese Baked Rice among others.

Chatterbox’s Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop in Italian Red Sauce
Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop in Italian Red Sauce is one of the best items on the menu. The chicken meat is tender and yet fresh while the rice is cooked to perfection.

Chatterbox’s Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop in Italian Red Sauce
Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop in Italian Red Sauce is as good as the Chicken Chop, even the pork meat is so tender, it almost tastes like chicken!

Chatterbox’s Ying Yong (Cold)
Ying Yong (Cold) tastes almost similar like other kopitiam.

Chatterbox’s Lemon Tea (Hot)
Lemon Tea (Hot) is hot but refreshing.
One thing that would bring me here again is probably the difference between Chatterbox and the other kopitiam — it is much peaceful and quiet dining in Chatterbox compared to similar type of "char chan teng". Others have ambiance almost like a night market.
Price
- Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop in Italian Red Sauce – RM 13.90
- Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop in Italian Red Sauce – RM 13.90
- Ying Yong (Cold) – RM 3.80
- Lemon Tea (Hot) – RM 3.80

Tags: Blue Curacao Soda, Hong Kong food, Oreo blended, T-Bowl, Taiwanese food
T-Bowl Concept Restaurant which is located on the third floor of QueensBay Mall, Penang is a restaurant based on Taiwan’s Modern Toilet Restaurant concept.

T-Bowl’s Toilet Bowl Seating

T-Bowl’s Toilet Bowl Seating looks exactly like the one in my house’s toilet
Someone even mentioned "Shouldn’t we put the toilet seat up?" Hilarious, but I have never thought of it.

Some of the T-Bowl’s Toilet Bowl Seating is pretty

T-Bowl is decorated to look like a toilet, it even has showerheads

Beneath the tables are the sinks
Basically, the restaurant is like a gigantic toilet where people eat instead of shit. Most of the seating is based on toilet bowl while they do have non-toilet bowl seat as well. If you fancy eating in the toilet, then this is the right place.

T-Bowl’s Toilet Bowl Chicken Baked Rice

T-Bowl’s Cheesed Baked Rice with Curry Chicken
The baked rice – Toilet Bowl Chicken Baked Rice and Cheesed Baked Rice with Curry Chicken taste almost like those in Wong Kok and Kim Gary. Of course with the concept of having your food in a toilet bowl instead of the normal bowl makes it extra special.

T-Bowl’s Tom Yam Seafood Flaming Pot
Tom Yam Seafood Flaming Pot tastes better than it looks. The tom yam is really flaming hot and has generous amount of seafood including prawns and fish. You can order bowl of rice to go with the tom yam.

T-Bowl’s French Toast
T-Bowl also serves toasted breads like French Toast besides noodles and rice.

Blue Curacao Bubble + Vanilla ice cream mocktail
Blue Curacao Bubble + Vanilla ice cream mocktail is just alright, Blue Curacao Soda in Food Republic, Pavilion tastes a lot better minus the ice cream.

Oreo Blended
Oreo Blended is somewhat new and different although McDonald’s serves it as ice-cream, Oreo Blended is an blended drink with Oreo bits and pieces in it. It tastes exceptional smooth and refreshing.

Soursop Blended
Soursop Blended tastes below par and perhaps slightly too sweet.

Honey Fruit Sponge Mellow
Honey Fruit Sponge Mellow is a dessert consists of Strawberry, Mango and Vanilla ice creams. Nothing really special about it. As long as they are not Chocolate, then it should taste fine. Haha.
Price
- Toilet Bowl Chicken Baked Rice – RM 13.90
- Cheesed Baked Rice with Curry Chicken – RM 13.90
- Tomyam Seafood Flaming Pot – RM 12.90
- French Toast – RM 3.50
- Blue Curacao Bubble + Vanilla ice cream mocktail – RM 5.50
- Oreo Blended – RM 6.50
- Soursop Blended – RM 5.90
- Honey Fruit Sponge Mellow – RM 7.90

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng has a variety of delicious food and this is the fourth time I’m writing about Wong Kok Char Chan Teng @ Pavilion KL and there is a good reason for this.

HK ‘Dry Style’ Hand Made Noodles with Honey Chicken
HK ‘Dry Style’ Hand Made Noodles with Honey Chicken as the name says is hand made noodles which looks a lot like the Fried H.K. Stred Noodles I reviewed earlier except it’s a lot thicker. The honey chicken is sweet and its juicy honey flavor makes the noodles not so "dry". If you’re a noodle lover, you’ll definitely love this one.

Honeydew Blueberry Float
Honeydew Blueberry Float is sweet and since both honeydew and blueberry lean more towards the sweet taste, this drink is surely one of the sweetest ever mixed of drinks. With a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, this drink is heavenly delicious.
Price
- HK ‘Dry Style’ Hand Made Noodle with Honey Chicken – RM 8.90
- Honeydew Blueberry Float – RM 7.50

Madam Wong Cafe serves the same food as Station Kopitiam and both have almost similar taste.

Madam Wong’s Buttermilk Sauce Chicken with Rice
Buttermilk Sauce Chicken with Rice is a delightful, at least, it’s better than the Crispy Buttermilk Granules Chicken with Rice.

Madam Wong’s Kung Po Chicken with Rice
Kung Po Chicken with Rice is not too bad either.

Madam Wong’s Honey Lemonade Ice and Lime Plum Juice
Both the drinks, Honey Lemonade Ice and Lime Plum Juice are so-so only.

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng @ Pavilion KL has introduced set lunches at only RM9.90 to lure the working crowds and at RM9.90, lunch hour during working days are usually packed with working adults.

Friday set lunch comes with Milk tea, soup and dessert

Spaghetti with Ham is one of the options for Friday set lunch
Spaghetti with Ham is mediocre in taste but for only RM 9.90, you can’t be complaining, can you? Furthermore, it comes with soup (white or red), dessert (usually fruits) and a glass of Milk tea (hot or cold).

Madam Wong Cafe may have a similar name like Madam Kwan but don’t get the wrong impression, Madam Wong serves the type of food similar to Kim Gary and Wong Kok instead. Located in the 2nd floor (corner) of Sungai Wang Plaza, this place won’t be hard to find.

Madam Wong’s Set Meal 12
Madam Wong’s Set Meal 12 consists of Lotus Pork Slice with Egg Fried Rice, a glass of Ice Lemon Tea and Dessert as well. Quite worth the price.

Madam Wong’s Crispy Buttermilk Granules Chicken with Rice
Crispy Buttermilk Granules Chicken with Rice may look good in the picture but it really lacks the buttermilk. Otherwise, not too bad.
The Malaysian Kopi (Cold) is not too bad either, considering the price.
The place is usually full with every table almost occupied, however, it is less noisy compared to Kim Gary Restaurants.
Price
- Set Meal 12 – RM 11.90
- Set Meal 13 – RM 11.90
- Crispy Buttermilk Granules Chicken with Rice – RM 8.90

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng @ Pavilion KL has a wide range of food, but not all food on the menu are delectable to everyone. That’s why I am here to recommend the best food around.

Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop
Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop is not Wong Kok’s best food but the one in Pavilion KL tastes quite good I would say.

Fried H.K. Stred Noodle with Pork Fillet
Fried H.K. Stred Noodle with Pork Fillet is scrumptious and surely a must-try if you don’t fancy to eat rice. The pork fillet is quite tender and juicy, good that it comes with the noodles.

Coffee in H.K. style (Hot)
Coffee in H.K. style (Hot) is not as tasty as the cold version.

Ice Free Bubble Cold Fragrant "Ying Yong"
Ice Free Bubble Cold Fragrant “Ying Yong” is cold but there is no ice-cubes as it says “Ice Free” and “Bubble Cold”. And it tastes really good.
Price
- Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop – RM 13.80
- Fried H.K. Stred Noodle with Pork Fillet – RM 8.80
- Coffee in H.K. style (Hot) – RM 2.70

In case you didn’t know, Wong Kok Char Chan Teng is located on the 6th floor of Pavilion KL.

The interior of Wong Kok, Pavilion is captivating

The ambiance in Wong Kok Char Chan Teng is definitely awesome

Baked Rice with Pork Chop in twin sauce
Baked Rice with Pork Chop in twin sauce is quite a steal. The portion is big and both the white and the red sauce taste just as good. If you are not a big-eater, you can actually share this with a friend. Also available is Baked Spaghetti with Pork Chop in twin sauce.

Nissin Noodle with fried egg and luncheon meat
If you fancy a cheaper eat that can still keep you satiated, then Nissin Noodle with fried egg and luncheon meat will be the perfect choice. As the name says, there are generous numbers of luncheon meat slices in the noodle and therefore can keep you full for only RM 6.30.

Coffee in H.K. style
Coffee in H.K. style is not your “everyday” iced coffee. The coffee, though filled with plenty of ice cubes, taste as good as any gourmet coffee. The only thing is, I wonder why they purposely use a straw with a tiny hole? So we can take longer to sip the coffee to enjoy the real aroma of the coffee? LoL!

Cappucino Coke
Cappucino Coke, meanwhile is a drink mixed with Cappuccino and Coke. As the mixture is well-balance, this is a really cool drink, good enough to give you a chilled-out feeling. Taste almost like my Iced Mocha Cola recipe.
Price
- Baked Rice with Pork Chop in twin sauce – RM 14.20
- Nissin Noodle with fried egg and luncheon meat – RM 6.30
