Gurney Drive is a restaurant in The Gardens, Mid Valley that serves local delicacies from Penang. Don’t be fooled by the descriptions of Gurney Drive, they are food stalls, but it’s a restaurant actually. The gimmick is to trick people into believing the food are cheap since most restaurants in The Gardens serve expensive food.

The entrance of Gurney Drive

Chee Cheong Fun
This is the worst Chee Cheong Fun I ever had — plain and blatant, it doesn’t even has any Yong Tao Foo and it’s priced at RM 8.00.

Duck Drumstick Noodle
Meanwhile, the Duck Drumstick Noodle (??) is up to par with price like RM 15.00, it is at least worth the money.

Mango Milk Shake

Ice Kacang
Price
- Duck Drumstick Noodle – RM 15.00
- Chee Cheong Fun – RM 8.00
- Milk Shake – RM 9.00
- Ice Kacang – RM 6.00

Whatever you try, DO NOT try their nasi lemak.
It is horrible and cost RM18.
I wouldn’t pay RM8 for that lousy nasi lemak.
What a lousy place! The food is horrible and expensive and the waiting staff can’t even speak proper English.
I would like to give a good comment on this Gurney Drive. Why? Value for money because the money you pay not only for the food is for the environment. Only for those people who does not know Penang Chee Cheong Fun is with out Yong Tao Foo will said this. Please go and eat at Penang before comment people. In Penang one Chee Cheong Fan already cost RM1.20 at road side. I am regular guest for this restaurant I will highly recommend people go there. Also, I believe they have their own market segment.
Good…….
Food, Service and nice place……
With the Ambience and Service provided i would say it is not expensive to dine in Gurvey Drive. As the portion is quite reasobable for that price too. As to the comment on the Chee Cheong Fun without Yong Tao Foo is ridiculous because the real CCF in Penang do not serve with it. Please do check out the real Penang Chee Cheong Fun first before defaming or commenting.
it. Would suggest if they could put in music or songs that is not so old or tradisional though.
