When it comes to good coffee, Northern Malaysia never lacks it. Sin Min Hong Coffee Shop in Butterworth is famous for its special coffee.

Sin Ming Hong’s Special Coffee (Hot)

Sin Ming Hong’s Special Coffee (Cold)
Special Coffee looks special and different from the ordinary coffee in kopitiam. However, I feel it tastes almost the same like the ordinary coffee and fail to taste any difference in it.

Sin Ming Hong’s Babyshake
Babyshake is nevertheless a special drink which consists of milk tea and a small amount of coffee powder. There is a strong flowery taste in it as well.

Sin Ming Hong’s Egg on Toast
Egg on Toast consists of half-boiled eggs and toasts except the eggs are on the toast as the name has suggested. Special but I still prefer to eat them separately. What about you?
Price
- Egg on Toast - RM 2.60
- Special Coffee (Cold) - RM 1.60
- Special Coffee (Hot) - RM 1.30
- Babyshake - RM 2.80

Have you ever heard of "Rojak Cucuk"? Unlike those rojak in Kuala Lumpur, Rojak Cucuk is somehow different — it is like a skewed kebab except mostly are fruits. Rojak Cucuk is unique and probably weird for KL people.

Rojak Cucuk Penang
Overall, the rojak is cheap and delicious. What’s more, you don’t get these anywhere else.

Soup kuey teow is quite popular in Penang. In Butterworth, Restoran Sai Toh Lim is quite famous with its soup kuey teow. It is located on Lorong Ceri 7 off Jalan Uda.
Fish ball is the highlight of the restaurant as the name (????) speaks for itself.

Sai Toh Lim’s Soup Kuey Teow
Soup Kuey Teow is no doubt savory and good to every bit.

Sai Toh Lim’s Dry Kuey Teow
Dry Kuey Teow is slightly less appetizing even though the chili is quite good.

Sai Toh Lim’s Hokkien Prawn Noodles
Hokkien Prawn Noodles is pretty tasty with Penang flavors. You don’t get these too often in Kuala Lumpur these days. So, it’s good and spicy!
Overall, the food in Restoran Sai Toh Lim is quite good and dirt cheap with RM 2.50 for small bowl and RM 3.00 for big bowl, you won’t find these price in KL.
