Most of the pasta available are merely mediocre, and perhaps is not worth the money spent. Spaghetti Carbonara with beef bacon strips may look delightful but it somehow lacks the taste most Carbonara has while the menu mentions Spaghetti Carbonara “with beef bacon”, the dish somehow has more mushrooms than bacon strips. Spaghetti Meatball is somehow more extraordinary with its pasta sauce on the spicier side. Perhaps this is due to the fact Zen is a fusion restaurant, hence, tomato + chili does make sense for a pasta meal. If you crave for pasta, I would recommend Delicious anytime.

Killiney Kopitiam’s Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah

Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah is one of the them. Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah is quite decent and I must say it is even better than the infamous Nasi Lemak Panas Ayam Goreng in Bangsar. The rice is fragrant and the anchovies are crispy while the sambal is slightly on the sweet side rather than being spicy. The fried chicken is perfectly fried, except that it may be a little bit oily.

Chicken Curry Rice is quite fragrant and delicious and is comparable to Old Town’s Curry Chicken with Sticky Rice though both have different type of rice.

Killiney Kopitiam’s Cold Coffee

The Cold Coffee is quite “gao” and is a great drink with any meals. Good enough for a coffee lover like me.

Spaghetti and Chicken Chop with Black Pepper Sauce is quite good. The spaghetti is slightly thinner, just like those you get in Kim Gary while the chicken chop is quite tender and the sauce is delicious. All this for only RM 9.90, it’s quite worth it.

Sadly though, despite the popularity of the Claypot Chicken Rice in Brickfields, the verdict is the rice are quite soaky and not cooked properly while the others — the chicken, the sour fish and the rest are quite mediocre. The "Big" Claypot Chicken Rice is sufficient enough for four person, or two person if you are a big eater.

Certainly, not one of the best claypot chicken rice. If you are looking for claypot, I would strongly suggest B Sentral’s Hot Claypot Briyani Rice even though they are a different thing altogether.

Restoran B’Sentral’s Hot Claypot Briyani Rice

Hot Claypot Briyani Rice comes with a cup of Churri (onion in yogurt with herbs), which I believe originates from North India. The mutton version tastes so tender it’s almost like eating grilled lamb while the chicken version is surprisingly tender too.

Restoran B’Sentral also serves crispy and the best papadum I have ever come across.

One claypot serving is extremely large and it is not advisable to have all by yourself especially during a working day lunch hour.

Uncle Lim’s Fried Kuey Teow is quite delicious. The ingredients are generous while the kuey teow are fried to perfection. In some places, you’ll see the kuey teow ends up either burnt or uncooked, but the char kuey teow here doesn’t only look good but taste good as well. Definitely top my list for Fried Kuey Teow in Kuala Lumpur, if not the whole Malaysia.

Ipoh Style Chee Cheong Fun is quite refreshing and different from the regular Penang chee cheong fun. Instead of having the sweet sauce, Ipoh style uses chili and dried prawns. The verdict? Pretty refreshing and delicious albeit the spicy taste.

Penang Style Chee Cheong Fun is also enjoyable and tasty. Unlike the one at the Gardens, these chee cheong fun only costs RM 3.00 and RM 2.00 for a smaller portion.
