While the nasi lemak here is not exactly the best nasi lemak ever, it is somehow decent enough although slightly more pricey than most mamak restaurants that serve even better nasi lemak. There are certainly better ones as the search continues.

Devi’s Corner Nasi Lemak

Once voted as Malaysia’s best Nasi Lemak, though the quality has gone down tremendously since, the Nasi Lemak at Devi’s Corner now is better than it was a couple of years ago. The rice is fragrant and cooked to perfection with the santan while the sambal is just nice.

Devi’s Corner Roti Telur

Roti Telur “garing” is crispy and delicious, although I am not sure whether it’s softer if you don’t tell the waiter you want it “garing”. Most mamak stalls serve soft and fluffy roti canai but I prefer mine crispy.

Devi’s Corner Tosai Masala

Tosai Masala is not the best option of food when it comes to the food at Devi’s Corner. While the roti canai is still fine, the tosai has nothing out of the extraordinary and there is nothing to shout about.

Devi’s Corner Nescafe Tarik

Nescafe Tarik is made to perfection, not too sweet nor tasteless.

Overall, Devi’s Corner is your favorite mamak stall for a reason. Although the patrons are lesser nowadays, maybe come 2010 when the World Cup season is here, the thriving days of Devi’s Corner will return.

Theobroma’s Chocolate Chip Sultana Pancake

Chocolate Chip Sultana Pancake is delightful. It’s like taking shower with chocolate instead of water. Chocolate chips, sultana raisins and chocolate syrup, you must choose this if you love pancake.

Theobroma’s Chocolate, Nuts & Sultana Crepe

Chocolate, Nuts & Sultana Crepe is delicious and crispy and crunchy. It’s like taking a bath in a bathtub filled with chocolate syrup and nuts. It’s just that incredible. If you prefer something crispier than pancake, you should order this crepe.

Theobroma’s Mini Fondue

Theobroma’s Mini Fondue is quite mini and not so tempting. It comes with kiwi fruits, bananas, mandarin oranges and strawberries and a tiny saucer of melted chocolate. However, since this is included in the RM19.90 set, it seems to be alright.

Theobroma’s Cappuccino

Cappuccino is quite satiating and it is never short of attraction with the lovely coffee art.

Theobroma’s Flat White

The same applies to Flat White, a white coffee drink with foamy and beautiful coffee art, the drink tastes slightly better than Cappuccino.

Cheese Baked Rice with Chicken Chop in Italian Red Sauce is one of the best items on the menu. The chicken meat is tender and yet fresh while the rice is cooked to perfection.

Chatterbox’s Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop in Italian Red Sauce

Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop in Italian Red Sauce is as good as the Chicken Chop, even the pork meat is so tender, it almost tastes like chicken!

Chatterbox’s Ying Yong (Cold)

Ying Yong (Cold) tastes almost similar like other kopitiam.

Chatterbox’s Lemon Tea (Hot)

Lemon Tea (Hot) is hot but refreshing.

One thing that would bring me here again is probably the difference between Chatterbox and the other kopitiam — it is much peaceful and quiet dining in Chatterbox compared to similar type of "char chan teng". Others have ambiance almost like a night market.

Banana Leaf Rice

The Banana Leaf Rice served here is one of the best in Malaysia since it was opened a few years ago. It has appeared in many magazines and newspaper as well. For starter, you get your banana leaf served with at least three vegetable dishes including fried vegetables, which is crunchy and delectable. The best part is you can refill the rice and the vegetables for as many times as you want.

Dry Chili Chicken

Dry Chili Chicken is quite delicious and is perfect to add to the Banana Leaf Rice.
