Chatter Kopitiam is a kopitiam located in Kinta City, Ipoh. It may locate inside a shopping mall but the price is still lower than most kopitiams in Klang Valley.

Chatter Kopitiam’s Dry Curry Noodle

Dry Curry Noodle is different from those you get elsewhere. The curry is thick, there are not much beansprouts while the mint leaves do add some fragrant to the dish, it is just not good enough.

Chatter Kopitiam’s Curry Soup Noodle

Curry Soup Noodle is almost the same version of the Dry Curry Noodle except it has slightly more curry.

Chatter Kopitiam’s Chang Jiang White Coffee (Cold)

Chang Jiang White Coffee is unique and is better than most white coffee found in Klang Valley, but I can say it’s not the best white coffee as it still lacks somewhat something.

Chatter Kopitiam’s Chocolate (Hot)

Chocolate (Hot) tastes almost like Milo and perhaps is the biggest rip-off.

Chatter Kopitiam’s Chicken Cha Siew Pao

Chatter Kopitiam’s Chicken Cha Siew Pao

Chicken Cha Siew Pao is probably the best item on the menu and you should not miss this one if you happen to be in Kinta City. At RM 1.80, it may be slightly more expensive than the ordinary siew pao in the real Chinese kopitiam, but it is worth every cent. The Chicken Cha Siew is so tender, it almost taste like pork. By the way, this kopitiam serves halal food.

Restoran Onn Kee (Ayam Taugeh) in Ipoh is infamous for its Ayam Taugeh, or Chicken with Bean Sprouts, a highly popular dish in Ipoh, Perak. If you pass by Ipoh whether on your way up north or down south, don’t forget to drop by.

Restoran Onn Kee’s Pork balls and Fish balls

While waiting for the main dish (the Chicken, of course), we are first served with a bowl of Pork balls mixed with Fish balls. The Pork balls are delectable whereas the Fish balls are left untouched only until the Chicken is finished.

Restoran Onn Kee’s Bean Sprouts

The Bean Sprouts are delicious and are somewhat different from most places.

Restoran Onn Kee’s Chicken

Onn Kee’s Chicken is good and is best eaten with the Bean Sprouts. Although many people claim the restaurants within the proximity are equally good, I have to say Onn Kee’s still the safest bet if you want really good Ayam Taugeh and at a fare price.

Restoran Onn Kee’s Hor Fun

Most of us ordered Hor Fun, although I was the only one who ordered Rice. Perhaps, I will order Hor Fun next time, I am sure there are plenty of such chances.

Price:

Chicken with Bean Sprout (Ayam Taugeh), Hor Fun and Rice, Pork balls and Fish balls plus drinks, serving for 9 person – RM 61.20

Address:

Restoran Onn Kee (Ayam Taugeh),
51, Jalan Yau Tet Sin,
30300 Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan, MALAYSIA.
