November 30th, 2008 — AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre, Klang
Tags: fast food, Hotrods, KFC
KFC Hotrods have been invading our lives, be it through TV Commercial or Newspaper.

KFC’s Hotrods
I have to admit KFC Hotrods is pretty good — the boneless fried chicken is effortless and ready to eat, it’s not as oily and it’s succulent. However, the KFC Hotrods is not as pretty as the advertisement. In fact, the chicken is not nearly as rounded as the one featured in the advertisement.
Worse still, we were made to wait for at least 20 minutes in KFC Aeon Bukit Tinggi. Perhaps, it’s the negligence of the staff because we saw other customers who came after us received their Hotrods before us. This is not the first time, Malaysian restaurant gives us a bad impression — another restaurant in AEON Bukit Tinggi have earlier gave me us really bad experience.

November 22nd, 2008 — Kuala Lumpur, Suria KLCC
Tags: breakfast, fast food, KFC
KFC in Suria KLCC has now reopened after its renovation and now serves breakfast.

Suria KLCC’s KFC is now more spacious

KFC’s Nasi Lemak Enak Breakfast
Nasi Lemak Enak is surprisingly delicious, the only thing missing is peanuts, a nasi lemak can’t do without peanuts. Somehow, its fragrant rice and delicious but spicy sambal make up for it and add on a piece of Original Recipe fried chicken, the meal is perfect.
Price
- Nasi Lemak Enak (with coffee, tea or orange juice) - RM 5.30
- Add-on 1 piece of Original Recipe Fried Chicken - RM 2.40
Address

McDonald’s Double McChicken

November 13th, 2008 — Jalan Kia Peng, Kuala Lumpur
Tags: Chinese food, Hakka Restaurant, non-halal
Hakka Restaurant, located along Jalan Kia Peng has been a sight most of the KL lites cannot ignore. Hakka Restaurant has been in existence for 43 years with its first branch started in Sungei Wang Plaza.

Hakka Restaurant’s Herbal Chicken
The Herbal Chicken is quite succulent and yet pleasant to eat.

Hakka Restaurant’s Assam Fish
Assam Fish is delectable — not too sour, not too spicy, just the right taste.

Hakka Restaurant’s Tofu
The Tofu is however quite bland and ordinary.

Hakka Restaurant’s Sweet & Sour Pork
The Sweet & Sour Pork is crispy and quite juicy.

Hakka Restaurant’s Vegetable
The Vegetable is surprisingly not too salty despite the existence of the salted duck egg.

Hakka Restaurant’s Dessert
Lastly, the Dessert which consists of mangoes, watermelon and honey dew is fresh and juicy.
Even though the food in Hakka Restaurant is top-rated, somehow it’s still overrated and too pricey. Perhaps, Hakka Restaurant is more suitable for weddings and dinner functions. Otherwise, there are many other Chinese restaurants that are better in every sense.
Price
- Five dishes and dessert, serving for 10 persons - RM 183.60
Address
Hakka Restaurant,
6, Jln. Kia Peng,

November 9th, 2008 — Kuala Lumpur, Wisma Cosway
Tags: curry noodles, local food, prawn noodles, Wagon
Wagon in Wisma Cosway is not just a pub. It serves some decent food all day long from lunch to dinner.

Wagon’s Curry Mee
Curry Mee is quite satiating and should satisfy most. The only fallback is the price, at RM 8.50, most people would demand more and hence, they will rather feel the noodles still lack something for the price they pay.

Wagon’s Prawn Mee
Prawn Mee is also decent and is satisfying. Prawn Mee has abundant of slices of chicken and prawns.
Still, this is not the kind of place one would go for its noodles.
Price
- Curry Mee - RM 8.50
- Prawn Mee - RM 8.50

November 3rd, 2008 — Kuala Lumpur, Wisma UOA II
Tags: food court, local food, Nasi Kandar Kampung Pandan, nasi lemak
Nasi Kandar Kampung Pandan is located inside the food court of Wisma UOA II, Jalan Pinang.

Nasi Kandar Kampung Pandan’s Nasi Lemak
Nasi Lemak from Nasi Kandar Kampung Pandan is not the best-ever nasi lemak but it qualifies as the best within the premise of Wisma UOA II. Don’t even bother to try the nasi lemak from other stalls in the food court, or even the nasi lemak from Meals Station.
The Nasi Lemak is however usually sold-out early in the morning.
