Pizza Hut’s latest offering — Sensasi Delight lets you choose from 5 tasty dishes starting from RM 7.95 for a personal set for one person. We had Sensasi Set 4 which consists of two soup of the day, two glasses of Pepsi, a personal pan pizza, a plate of pasta and one garlic bread. All these for only RM 18.29 including tax.

Pizza Hut’s Mushroom Soup
Pizza Hut’s Mushroom Soup is much better than it was previously. The quality and the taste has improved and best of all, you don’t have to take the soup by yourself — it’s served to you like any other dishes.

Pizza Hut’s Garlic Bread
Pizza Hut’s Garlic Bread is like usual, the bread is soft and it gets cold easily because there is no aluminum foil that comes with it. It’s best dipped with the soup but when our garlic bread arrives, the soups already become cold due to the slow and inefficient service.

Pizza Hut’s Aromatic Thai Spaghetti
Aromatic Thai Spaghetti may be aromatic but it tastes quite mediocre. Imagine Thai sauce, beef pepperoni, onions, tomatoes and cucumber strips mixed altogether. The Thai sauce is not the Thai chili but it’s Tamarind sauce. It’s just not the right mix.

Pizza Hut’s Waikiki Paradise Pizza
Waikiki Paradise Pizza is like Hawaiian pizza but with additional beef cabanossi, ground beef besides the usual pineapples, chicken loaf and onions. It’s quite delightful but since it’s a personal pan pizza, the pizza is just not the same.
Overall, Pizza Hut’s Sensasi Delight is affordable and delightful. However, don’t visit the Pavilion’s branch during lunch hours especially because the service is just horrible.
Price
- Sensasi Delight (Set for 2 person) - RM 15.90 (RM 18.29 including tax)

Restoran S.S.L Noodles which used to operate in the backstreet has now its own shop lot in Wangsa Maju. It’s located on the corner of Jalan 1/27B, the same row as 7-Eleven.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Dry Spicy Pan Mee
Dry Spicy Pan Mee is a spicy bowl of noodles which is also known as "Ma Lat" Pan Mee and it’s quite popular among the restaurant patrons. Like all dry noodles, it comes with a bowl of fish balls.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Soup Curry Chicken Pan Mee
Soup Curry Chicken Pan Mee is also a favorite among the crowds. The amount of Curry Chicken is generous and it’s surely satiates.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Dry Curry Chicken Pan Mee
Dry Curry Chicken Pan Mee is, however, slightly disappointing. It tastes almost like the curry noodles in Chatter Kopitiam.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Soup Pan Mee
Soup Pan Mee is also so-so. Perhaps the quality of Restoran S.S.L Noodles has dropped even since it moves into this new shop lot.
Patrons can choose the type of noodles of their choice, be it pan mee, noodles, kuey teow, etc., not all type of noodles match with all type of dish in the menu.

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Har Kow

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Red Bean (Hot)

Restoran S.S.L Noodles’ Iced Coffee
While the Red Bean (Hot) is pretty good, the Iced Coffee is nothing close to those we get from the mamak stall. However, the pan mee is still quite worth it, for now.
Price
- Dry Spicy Pan Mee - RM 4.50
- Soup Curry Chicken Pan Mee - RM 4.50
- Dry Curry Chicken Pan Mee - RM 4.50
- Soup Pan Mee - RM 4.50
- Har Kow - RM 4.00
- Red Bean (Hot) - RM 2.00
- Iced Coffee - RM 2.50

It was just after Hari Raya Aidilfitri and it was almost impossible to find nasi lemak. But, thanks to Mak Tom’s Nasi Lemak in Food Republic, Pavilion KL, my taste buds for nasi lemak is saved.

Mak Tom’s Nasi Lemak
Mak Tom’s Nasi Lemak Chicken is surprisingly good, especially the sambal which is quite spicy. The rice is strongly scented with santan while the fried chicken is crispy enough.
Mak Tom’s Nasi Lemak Chicken is located in the middle of Food Republic, in Pavilion KL.
Price
- Nasi Lemak Chicken - RM 7.90

Tags: cendol, Cendol Klang, desserts
Cendol Klang is famous for its cendol. Back in its heydays, it was only a cart stall just right on the roadside of the shoplot it is located currently.

Cendol Klang’s Cendol Biasa
Cendol Klang’s Cendol Biasa though looks ordinary is delicious and it is irresistible. Somehow, the "makan" version is smaller and 30 cent cheaper than the "bungkus (take-away)" version. Besides the Original flavor, Cendol Klang also has many other flavors including those with ice-cream.
Price
- Cendol Biasa (Makan) - RM 1.50
- Cendol Biasa (Bungkus) - RM 1.80

Tags: Leo's Cafe, local food
Leo’s Cafe is innovative by serving the current food trend trying to satisfy many people’s taste bud. It is really going places by hiring Amber Chia as their ambassador. Besides serving the current food trend, it also serves coffee, pastry and in-house made Gelato (Italian ice cream).
Leo’s Cafe is located on the corner lot the same row as Bandar Bukit Tinggi’s Oldtown White Coffee. Giant Hypermarket is directly opposite Leo’s Cafe.

Leo’s Cafe Black Pepper Chicken Rice
Black Pepper Chicken Rice is not up to the par — the rice is not well-cooked while there is inadequate amount of black pepper sauce.

Leo’s Cafe Buttermilk Seafood Yee Mee
Buttermilk Seafood Yee Mee is pretty good even though the yee mee is actually Cantonese Yee Mee. However, the number of prawns and crab meats are so limited, it’s like eating plain yee mee.

Leo’s Cafe Cucumber Lime Cooler
Cucumber Lime Cooler is refreshing despite the strong cucumber flavor. The drink and the Buttermilk Seafood Yee Mee comes in a set of RM 9.80 whereas ordering the Yee Mee ala carte is RM 7.80.

Leo’s Cafe Hot Lemon Tea
Hot Lemon Tea is sweet with strong sense of lemon. Ironically, the tea flavor is nowhere to be found.
Price
- Buttermilk Seafood Yee Mee + Cucumber Lime Cooler - RM 9.80
- Black Pepper Chicken Rice - RM 8.80
- Hot Lemon Tea - RM 3.30

It’s Friday and Wendy’s offering 50% off all its Frosty drinks. Awesome, ain’t it?
What’s more, Wendy’s throwing away complimentary Chicken Nuggets (6 pieces) for every combo ordered.
Still fresh from its opening last Tuesday, the queues in Wendy’s during lunch hour is still the same like its first day. Nonetheless, it’s worth waiting.

Wendy’s Shrimp Supreme Burger
Wendy’s Shrimp Supreme Burger tastes almost like McDonald’s Fillet-O-Fish but with a shrimp flavor. It’s quite alright, but not my favorite among all.

Wendy’s Ultimate Chicken Grill Burger
Wendy’s Ultimate Chicken Grill, unlike the Spicy Chicken Sensation Burger, has grilled chicken instead of fried. It’s a little bit salty though.

Wendy’s Chicken Nuggets (6 pieces)
Wendy’s Chicken Nuggets (6 pieces) is saltier than McDonald’s, therefore, I prefer McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets. However, since it’s complimentary, we just stuffed them.

Wendy’s Twisted Frosty Vanilla M&M’s
Wendy’s Twisted Frosty Vanilla M&M’s is like Vanilla milkshake + M&M’s chocolates. Totally heavenly. There are also a Chocolate version besides the Vanilla and a choice of Oreo instead of M&M’s chocolates. And since it’s Friday, it’s only RM 2.00 instead of the normal RM 3.99 price.
Price:
- Ultimate Chicken Grill (Small Combo) + Iced Milo - RM 11.24
- Shrimp Supreme Burger - RM 7.00
- Chicken Nuggets (6 pieces) - Complimentary
- Twisted Frosty Vanilla M&M’s - RM
3.99 2.00

Wendy’s just opened another fast food restaurant in Kuala Lumpur — this time, it’s besides Menara Standard Chartered (besides 7-Eleven) in Jalan Sultan Ismail. Wendy’s in Malaysia has now opened 5 fast food restaurants including Sunway Pyramid, IOI Mall, Jaya One, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Mont’ Kiara. Since it’s the opening, the queue is pretty long, especially during lunch hour. Somehow, the staff managed to control the crowd incredibly well.

Wendy’s Jalan Sultan Ismail

Wendy’s Jalan Sultan Ismail is just besides 7-Eleven in a 7-Eleven building
Wendy’s Jalan Sultan Ismail is located besides a 7-Eleven in the 7-Eleven building itself, between Central Plaza and Menara Standard Chartered.

Wendy’s

Wendy’s 1/4 Pound Single Burger
Wendy’s 1/4 Pound Single Burger is definitely satisfying — consisting of the usual beef patty, tomato, onions, lettuce and cheese, the beef patty is juicy and delicious.

Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sensation Burger
Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sensation Burger is tender and juicy as well, better than McDonald’s Spicy McDeluxe but the chicken is not as tender as KFC’s Zinger Burger. Still, this burger is quite good.

Wendy’s Baked Potatoes with Cheese & Cheese
Unlike other fast food restaurant, Wendy’s also serves baked potatoes and salad. Baked Potatoes with Cheese & Cheese is the ultimate choice albeit the name, it is actually quite healthy. The amount of cheese is moderate and Baked Potatoes with Cheese & Cheese is irresistible.

Wendy’s Frosty Chocolate Float
Wendy’s Frosty Chocolate Float consists of Coke mixed with Chocolate Ice-cream, for RM 2.99, this drink quenches my thirst while satiates me.
Price:
- 1/4 Pound Single (Medium Combo) + Iced Milo (Medium) - RM 11.85
- Spicy Chicken Sensation Burger - RM 7.00
- Baked Potatoes with Cheese & Cheese - RM 5.99
- Frosty Chocolate Float - RM 2.99

Tags: baozi, Mr Baoz, steamed bun
Mr Baoz has recently expanded its store into Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Mr Baoz’s Curry Mutton Baoz
Curry Mutton Baoz is not up to the par even though it looks lovely. Perhaps, the baoz is not fresh since Mr Baoz does not have many customers.

Mr Baoz’s Potato Cheese Baoz
Don’t even try the Potato Cheese Baoz. It just tastes weird.

Mr Baoz’s Curry Chicken Baoz
Curry Chicken Baoz is the best of the lots as it’s crispy and fresh and a little spicy. Buy a dozen of this, forget the rest.
Like J.Co, Big Apple and Vienna Bagels, Mr Baoz also sells in a dozen, half a dozen boxes and three pieces. The price of a dozen of baoz is RM 36 while the price for half a dozen is RM 18. However, the baoz in these package are preselected and customers cannot select their preferred baoz.
Mr Baoz is halal. But for RM 3, I can easily get a Big Pao (Big Steamed Bun) at almost any Chinese restaurant.
Price
- Curry Mutton Baoz - RM 3.00
- Potato Cheese Baoz - RM 3.00
- Curry Chicken Baoz - RM 3.00

October 2nd, 2008 — AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre, Klang
Tags: Dome Cafe, grilled chicken, pasta, western food
Dome Cafe is one of my favorite place as I have mentioned before, especially the Suria KLCC branch. However, Dome Cafe in AEON Bukit Tinggi Klang truly disappoints.
Our orders arrive quite late despite being one of the first few customers. My dad ordered Spicy Olio Pasta but it only arrived after nearly an hour. By then, my dad has already lost his patience and left the restaurant. I do not understand why it needs to take an hour to prepare a plate of pasta and I do not know why Dome does not practice first-come-first-served basis. Shortage of staff should never be an excuse. The staff should have nicely explain the lengthy duration they need to prepare the pasta instead of making the customers wait. Perhaps, Dome Cafe in AEON Bukit Tinggi Klang has never experienced this high turnout of customers on regular days. What’s worse, it didn’t even has a restaurant manager.
Worst of all, it was a dinner my sister has planned to treat the family for mom’s 50th birthday — which in the end, turned out as one of the most dismal experiences I ever had. We vowed not to ever return to Dome Cafe in AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre.
Anyways, below are my review of the food we had.

Dome’s Spicy Chicken Mushroom Pasta
Dome’s Spicy Chicken Mushroom Pasta is the first dish to arrive. It is good enough, at least, my mom and sister manage to finish them.

Dome’s Grilled Chicken Turmeric
Meanwhile, Dome’s Grilled Chicken in Creamy Turmeric Sauce is quite blatant. Despite the chicken being marinated with herbs and the so-called creamy turmeric sauce, I found the dish quite blatant and almost tasteless. Maybe the chef did not put his mind to the dish when preparing it.
Please don’t bother to visit Dome Cafe in AEON Bukit Tinggi Klang. There are many other choices available in AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre in Klang.
Price
- Spicy Chicken Mushroom Pasta - RM 21.00
- Grilled Chicken in Creamy Turmeric Sauce - RM 23.00
- Gourmet Chicken Pie - RM 21.00
